The Ionian coast
The coast of Turkey at the east of the Aegean Sea, is the most popular cruising area. It is worthwhile to visit Ephesus, Pergamum and other archeological places to taste the spirit of its ancient habitants, the Ionians and their great philosophers.
Meltemi, the famous NE Aegean wind, influence the coast. Winds of force 2-4 blow during spring and autumn but can be up to force 6 during July and August.
