Our Destinations in Corsica
General Information
Corsica became part of France in 1768. It is located in the Mediterranean, at the south east of the country.
It is an island with high mountains and rocky coasts although there are many green fields ending to sandy beaches at the coast.
With a coast line of 620 miles, two charter weeks are required for a complete round of the island.
The climate at the sea level is typical Mediterranean with prolonged and hot summer and short mild winter. Higher on the mountains, the climate is much more cool.
Regional sentiment is strong and many people still speak the Corsican native language.
